Chemical Connections

As the slender, dark haired, nicely dressed women walks into the coffee shop she takes her spot in line and glances to her left meeting eyes with the gorgeous, green eyed man sitting two tables away.  At first it’s just a silly coincidence that they were looking at each other at the same time but then the second look reveals a deeper connection.  The woman buys her drink and within seconds of grabbing the hot coffee the man asks for her company. Hitting it off from the start and being inseparable from that moment on proves that love at first sight exists. Or does it?  Research has begun to prove that love and relationships are chemically and biologically imbedded in each human and we do not actually feel that magical unknown spark that the human race seems to admire so much.
Okay, okay, so this hasn’t been proven yet but in topic number one I am to describe the changes in views of love, lust, like, relationships, and life in general if this were to ever be common knowledge and eventually acted upon.  In most people’s everyday lives they go about their day starting off at work, eating occasionally, interacting with friends and loved ones, nothing ever too exciting but for those who are single there’s that little idea sitting in the back of their heads wondering if this is the day they could possibly meet their soul mate. If this idea of a perfect connection in the opposite sex was diminished our world would be a very different place. Attitudes could change, interactions with random people would be completely altered, and the idea a soul mate would be rushed out the window.
In my opinion the actual life aspects changed would involve mainly the humans’ relationships but not much more of daily activity. I would guess that marriage would be a thing of the past and we would realize that we are attracted through the chemicals of mating and reproduction. Our so called “attractions” to one and other would be dismissed as a part of our biological make up and not thought too strongly about. A huge part of marriage and love is the connection they feel solely to one and other, but if it is proven that is only a chemical makeup then this could take place as a bond between any two people without any meaning or special association behind it.
